Last term, the OHS English Department encouraged all students across the Prep and Senior schools to get writing over Christmas for the GDST’s Creative Writing Competition 2022.
The competition rules were simple: participants should write a short story of no longer than 1,000 words on the theme of ‘bouncing back’.
We are pleased to announce that the following students and their entries have been chosen as the winning stories for OHS:
Years 1 & 2 category: No dogs allowed by Emma (2W)
Years 3 & 4 category: Lily and her two new friends by Alexandra (4ER)
Years 5 & 6 category: The Story Cruise by Alicia (6S)
Years 7, 8 & 9 category: Kabul by Zahra (9G)
Years 10 & 11 category: Rebound by Tessa (10S)
Years 12 & 13 category: The purple dress by Lucy (S7)
These entries are now through to the GDST round and will be judged by bestselling author and Sutton High alumna, Rachel Hore. Well done and good luck to all of you!
