Baroness Warnock Concert

18 May 2023

The annual Baroness Warnock Memorial Concert took place on Wednesday 17th May. It was a fantastic event, with our Music staff showcasing their talents.

Baroness Mary Warnock was Head of OHS from 1966 to 1972. She had an interest in moral philosophy and a passion for music. She was a highly influential figure in some controversial areas of public policy in the 1970s, including Special Educational Needs, Human Fertilisation and Embryology.

This annual event honours her contribution to the school.  The audience were treated to the following musical performances:

  • Horn trio Op. 40, First Movement (Johannes Brahms) from Mr Faultless, Ms Miles and Dr Foster.
  • Sonata in B minor from ‘Tafelmusik’ (George Philipp Telemann) from Mr Slade and Dr Foster.
