Year 6 ventured into the woods for a week to brush up on their bushcraft skills. Adventurous activities included whittling wooden pegs with knives, learning bushcraft first aid, jumping into the ‘solar heated’ lake, and building survival shelters. The girls adapted to the camping way of life immediately, with many choosing to move their sleeping bags from their tents to their homemade shelters to sleep. Overall, the girls had a thoroughly rewarding trip and are now better prepared to survive in any environment!
