We are delighted to introduce The Tangent, a new STEM magazine. Created and written by Marianne in Year 12, it contains superb articles from our pupils and will be released twice a year.
To find out more about The Tangent, we spoke to Marianne:
“The Tangent is a magazine that gives the opportunity to Year 11 and 12 students to research and write an article about a STEM-related topic that interests them, in order to share it with the wider school community. In addition, there are some “Did you know’s” and a shorter article on a STEM-related news at OHS from last term.
I was inspired by The Medical Myriad and thought it would be great to have a magazine for the school about STEM in general. I discussed this project with Dr Regardsoe and Ms Burton to be able to put it together. I would like to thank them very much for their support all along the way.
The Tangent is aimed at everyone in the school, in particular those who are interested in STEM and are curious to find out about a range of different topics. We had a lot of fun researching and writing our articles in a concise and engaging way and we hope you will enjoy reading them!
A second issue will be released in the summer term, in which you can expect another set of fascinating articles.”
