Last week, the English Department was delighted to welcome author and academic Dr Merve Emre to speak to our Year 13 students about Virginia Woolf’s Mrs Dalloway.
Our Year 13 students asked characteristically perceptive questions and were grateful for Dr Emre’s brilliant insights, and for her generous gift of a copy of her beautiful annotated version of the novel, which helps to put one of their A Level texts into its fascinating context.
