On Tuesday 6th February, the French Department organised a “French Study Day” outing at the Alliance Française of Oxford for Year 12 and Year 13 French students.
The day began with a traditional petit-déjeuner (breakfast) and we were welcomed with warm croissants. The students had a workshop about the role of young people in politics followed by an afternoon activity dedicated to Coco Chanel. To maintain the French flavour of the day, tables were booked for lunch at the Brasserie Blanc restaurant. It was a fantastic way of learning about French culture and practise the language in real-life situations.
“It was an amazing opportunity to learn about French culture and politics alongside a delicious meal!” Nayna P, Year 12
“Very fun and interactive! I loved the interaction and the people. The topics were super interesting too!” Cass W, Year 13
