Yesterday, we were treated to an exciting lunchtime talent show by Year 7!
Organised by our Year 7 and Charity Prefect, Alina, we were able to witness the year group’s skills and flairs. And now, on to the acts…
The first act was an incredibly creative performance by Petra, Freja, Isla, and Kitty, who acted out the alphabet using their bodies! Paired with some entertaining background music, it was a very refreshing and enthusiastic show.
Next, we heard some fantastic band music from Pippa, Annabel, Issy, Camille, and Alice. With a terrific array of instruments, skills, and talents, we greatly enjoyed their performance, especially their impressive use of harmonies!
Druvi and Violet then entertained us with their self-devised acting piece. The judges immediately picked up on their great projection and use of space on the stage, and with a very inventive storyline, it made for a really entertaining performance which captivated the audience.
Last but certainly not least, Thalia and Angela wowed us with their piano and cello duo performance of Schindler’s List. The judges noted that both musicians captured the emotion of the piece and expertly told the story through their contrasting use of textures, dynamics, and tempos. Overall, it was a truly beautiful performance!
The winners will be revealed in a whole school assembly soon, so watch this space! The money raised will go towards the winning groups’ form charity.
A huge thank you to Alina, our judges Lizzie and Ottilie, and of course, to the Year 7 performers for what was an incredibly enjoyable lunchtime show.
