Today, our Year 13 girls delivered their Extended Research Project (ERP) presentations to their fellow students and teachers, thus concluding this part of their Sixth Form experience.
After months of hard work, research and exploration into their chosen topics, the girls were able to share their findings in 5 minute presentation slots, followed by 5 minute question and answer sessions.
The ERP usually generates a diverse range of topics, and this year was no exception. Here’s just a handful of the questions we saw discussed today:
- How do the institutions of courtly love and magic empower and restrict women in the legend of King Arthur?
- What are the main roles of silence in music?
- Is there a single viable solution to prevent climate change, or are multiple measures required?
- To what extent does deprivation in childhood impact the person’s overall health in the future?
- Are honey bees natural mathematicians?
Completing the ERP requires hard work, dedication and discipline, and we’d like to offer our heartfelt congratulations to all of our students who presented today.
