We are delighted to share the news that Sophie in Year 9 won the prize for ‘Best Research’ in the University of Cambridge’s ‘The Great Roman Bake Off’ competition!
Open to students in Years 7, 8, and 9, the University’s Classics Department challenged participants to choose a Roman dish and then create a two-minute recipe video of them cooking the dish.
A representative from the competition commented on Sophie’s entry, saying:
As well as the beautiful finished result and use of a spoon throughout (!) I really enjoyed your awareness of the wide variety of evidence available to us as historians and archaeologists as well as readers of texts!
As a prize, Sophie received a book voucher. Well done Sophie!
