This coming Tuesday, we are delighted to be hosting our 2021 Virtual Medicine Conference here at Oxford High School: an event for students in Years 10-12 who are considering a career in a medical or dental discipline.
In a jam-packed schedule which will run from 9am to 3.50pm, participants will hear from a range of professionals from across the medical spectrum. Aside from the individual doctors, dentists and students who will share their expertise and experiences in the panel sessions, the event will feature speakers from prestigious medical schools and other healthcare organisations.
Owing to the virtual nature of the conference, we have been able to invite students from outside of OHS to attend, including those from the GDST family as well as local Oxfordshire state schools. In total, 24 other schools, comprising nearly 500 students, are signed up to join us on the day: an exceptional result!
Well done to everyone who has been involved in the organisation of the event, namely Dr Strobel and our Year 12 aspiring medics/dentists: Shreya, Gabriella, Rida, Raahi, Abigail and Rebecca. Tuesday can’t come soon enough!
