Theatre trips returned with a bang to OHS last week as we travelled with the whole of Year 9 on Thursday 13th to see The Woman in Black in the Fortune Theatre, London.
Adapted by Stephen Mallatratt, the play is based on Susan Hill’s classic 1983 gothic horror novel.
The play was a delightfully spooky experience, and students have commented on their wonder at the acting, the set, and the surprise at the end – as well as the obligatory slush and popcorn in the interval! Year 9 were an exemplary audience, praised by the theatre’s employees, and it was a pleasure to give them the opportunity to see one of their texts brought to life on stage.
