Before the half term break, the cast and technical crew of our latest Lower School play staged a fantastic performance of C.S Lewis’ The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.
The magic of Narnia was brought to life by Year 7 and 8 students who performed brilliantly after a short rehearsal period. The wonderful set was designed by our technical theatre club.
I really enjoyed the experience of playing Lucy, as it was really fun to see Narnia come alive in school. Perhaps the best part was that during the final performance, we could see all our hard work unfold in front of our eyes. The set and costumes were really amazing and fitted with our characters, everyone worked really hard. The lighting and sound effects were great. Holly W, Year 8
This was the most ambitious Lower School Play to date, with only a five week rehearsal period and just one dress rehearsal. It’s testament to the students’ incredible creativity and work ethic that they produced such a fantastic performance: behind the scenes and under the lights, there was a powerful sense of camaraderie and team spirit. I am very proud of all of them. Mr Pelling, Drama Teacher
