This week’s Year 8 PSHCE lesson was an interesting session with Patricia Malone, from Energy Sparks. This specialist charity, works closely with schools to explore ways to reduce energy consumption.
Patricia delved into all aspects of school life where students felt high energy usage was an issue, and asked what could be done to reduce their carbon footprint.
Climate change and environmental awareness is a hot topic at OHS – a theme that is fully integrated into our curriculum. Patricia helped build knowledge on the impact of climate change, sharing everyday tips on how to difference.
The students felt really inspired after the talk, and were energised to learn that small changes could have such a positive impact!
