The play Onatti performed on Tuesday 15th (titled ‘En el campamento’) was both actively engaging and a pleasure to watch. Spanish pupils ranging from Years 8-10 all found it easy to follow and enjoyable to watch in equal measures. ‘En el campamento’ combined a funny storyline with an interesting yet simple performance style in order for students to be able to hear and process each word.
In terms of plot, the play told the story of two friends who went camping together and faced several challenges along the way, ranging from bringing too many shoes to having no signal in the woods.
From an educational point of view, it was nice to be able to hear a ‘normal’ conversation in Spanish! The play provided Spanish students with the opportunity to expand their vocabulary and improve their understanding of the language in an exceptionally enjoyable manner.
