Drama at OHS has always been about encouraging the girls to explore theatre in all its different aspects, both beneath and behind the lights.
As part of their Guided Home Learning Drama Circus course, the girls have been encouraged to discover what goes into set design. This involved watching talks and tutorials from some of the world’s leading companies and then letting their imaginations loose on their own ‘productions’, starting with detailed sketches and working towards fully created set boxes.
From designs for classic Shakespearean productions to stage versions of the latest Netflix shows, the girls’ creativity and skill were put to the test, with these two examples from Esther and Alice (Year 9) just two among a fantastic return.
