From the 17th to 20th October, the Junior School celebrated our first PSHE week. The week kicked off with an all singing, all dancing assembly explaining the meaning of PSHE and within minutes the Year 3s were setting off with ‘Little Wild Things’ for their first activity, building dens, roasting marshmallows and working collaboratively. Back at school, the girls enjoyed activities ranging from an exhilarating football tournament and fun swim, to calming craft sessions. The week continued in this vein, with activities and workshops for each year group, building to a celebration and award giving assembly on Friday. Highlights of the week included, yoga, African drumming, aerobics, mindfulness and visits from Emma Gleadhill (who spoke about emotional intelligence), James Watts (e-safety) and our School Nurse. It has been agreed by staff and students alike, that PSHE week was an unqualified success!
