Chris Phillips the Head of Design & Technology at Oxford High School recently received a letter from David Dewing, the Master at The Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers. The letter recognised the outstanding work produced by students at Oxford High School and held the department up as a shining example of delivering outstanding creative work. This work is made using mainly wood and metal by the students who range in age from 15-18 years old; the students are studying GCSE and A Level Design & Technology. This is a real accolade for the department and the school. The department and students are proud to have received this honour in recognition of the work that the students produce. Many thanks go to the Furniture Makers’ Company for the work they do in supporting Design and Technology and furniture making in schools.
