Although our Sports Awards Dinner, initially due to take place in March, was postponed until early September, it seems unlikely that it will be able to take place then either.
In light of this uncertainty and our desire not to delay the event any longer, we’ve decided to do what everyone is doing so well at the moment, and bring it to you virtually with a bit of a twist. From Monday 29th June – Friday 3rd July, please join us to congratulate the winners virtually.
Instead of your having to watch a long, live video when you’ve been staring at screens all day, we’ve decided to bring you the event over the course of a week.
Every day at 4 pm on the school website and twitter @OHS_Sport, a video will be released revealing the awards for a different sport, culminating on the Friday in the major awards, such as Team of the Year and the much-coveted Sports Person of the Year.
We are very excited about this event and hope that students and parents alike will be eagerly anticipating the release of the videos each day. The videos will of course remain on both our website and twitter feed after they have been posted.
A personal invitation has gone out to the students and families of those who were invited to the Sports Awards Dinner (Y9-13), but the beauty of this being virtual is that our whole school community can now share in the sporting achievements should they wish. So, please do all feel free to watch the videos throughout the week.
