OHS alumna, Lucy Prendergast, has a musical career that began with the Halle Youth Choir in Manchester under the direction of James Burton and subsequently progressed to the National Youth Choir. Following a degree in Arabic and recently graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge where she held a choral scholarship, Lucy has featured in recordings and solo performances across the UK, Europe, USA and Canada. These include a live recording of ‘The Dream of Gerontius’ with Sir Mark Elder and appearances at the London Proms directed by Daniel Barenboim. As part of the group The Four Sopranos, they have released a new musical tribute to HM The Queen as the longest reigning monarch in British history and the longest reigning female monarch in the world.
