Earlier this week, our Year 9 students had an off-timetable ‘Learning for Life Day’, in which they attended sessions and workshops covering a range of topics on the RSE PSHCE guidance, from risk taking and drug education to relationships and sexual health.
One of the highlights of the day was the session with Jude Guaitamacchi. A trans and non-binary public speaker and model, Jude spoke about a range of LGBTQ+ issues, from pronoun awareness and gender terminology to tackling LGBTQ+ discrimination and myth-busting. Thank you, Jude, for joining us and delivering such an inspiring and educational session.
It was a wonderful day, full of questions and discussion, topped and tailed with hot chocolate and Kit Kats.
Thank you to Ms Bramall for organising the occasion and to all of our Year 9 students for taking part so enthusiastically.
