This week it was wonderful to welcome back into school the Onatti Theatre Group to perform ‘Horoskop’, a play in German.
Synopsis: Everyone likes a sneaky peek at their Horoscope, but Mia takes it very seriously. When she reads that ‘love is on the horizon’ she takes the message to mean that the next boy she meets is bound to be a potential boyfriend. However, she can’t understand it when things don’t go as her stars predicted!
The 70 girls learning German in Years 8, 9 and 10 at OHS were joined in the audience by students and staff from Bartholomew School.
The two talented actors, on tour from Cologne, gave us a thoroughly entertaining afternoon, and the response from the students was exuberant:
“I understood more than I was expecting to understand and they made it really easy with gestures and context”
“There were obviously words I didn’t understand but I got the idea of what was happening”
“Es war sehr lustig – vielen Dank für Ihre Arbeit!”
“The play was very good, loved the singing!”
