A big Girls on the Ball welcome today to 150 girls from St Nick’s, St Mary & St John, Botley School, St Michaels, St Andrews, St Barnabas, Cokethorpe, Phil & Jim’s, East Oxford Primary, Chesterton, Chandlings, Tetsworth and Oxford High Junior School who were all participating in our Year 5 and Year 6 Football tournament today. With support from Oxfordshire FA, the Oxford United Women – in particular England U19 international Riva Casley and Ruth Senior, Reed Education, HSBC and Summertown Stars, we had another fantastic afternoon of girls’ sport. A close-fought tournament saw a final of penalty shoot outs between St Nicholas and Phil & Jim with Phil & Jim’s emerging as the overall winner. This Girl Can in Oxford that’s for sure!
