Garden Safari with Pandora Dewan

22 May 2020

We are delighted to share the work of Pandora Dewan (left OHS in 2016) who has been working with Dr Lindsay Turnbull (Associate Professor and Fellow in Plant Sciences).

Pandora worked along side Dr Turnbull to highlight how to identify different types of insects within your own garden.

Below is a beautiful illustration that Pandora created.

We hope this gives you all some inspiration to get outside and see what you can find in your gardens!

“Pandora now principally works as a science writer/editor for the climate change education charity, climate-science.com, as well as doing freelance illustration, and also art installations for the Oxford Story Museum. ‘Lindsay is an incredible tutor,’ she said. ‘I’m thrilled to be able to continue working creatively with her post-graduation. Illustration is a powerful tool to describe scientific mechanisms we can’t see. My time at the University of Oxford challenged me to think creatively and has enabled me to combine my interests in science and the arts.’” – Queens (2020).
