We are delighted to share the work of alumna Pandora Dewan who has been working with Dr. Lindsay Turnbull (Associate Professor and Fellow in Plant Sciences, Queen’s College, Oxford).
Pandora principally works as a Science Writer and Editor for the climate change education charity, climate-science.com, as well as doing freelance illustration and art installations for the Oxford Story Museum.
Recently, she has been working alongside Dr. Turnbull, using illustration to highlight how to identify different types of insects. Here is an example of one such beautiful illustration, created by Pandora.
Of her work, Pandora commented, “Illustration is a powerful tool to describe scientific mechanisms we can’t see. My time at the University of Oxford challenged me to think creatively and has enabled me to combine my interests in science and the arts.”
We hope this gives you all the inspiration to get outside and see what you can find in your gardens!
