We’re delighted to report that Izzi (Year 12), having shaved her head in a fundraising bid for the Little Princess Trust, has successfully raised over £1200 for the charity as well as donating a whopping 14 inches of hair.
The charity provides free real hair wigs to children and young people who have lost their hair due to cancer, as well as funding research into childhood cancers, their causes and treatments.
From Izzi:
“I had the idea of shaving my head for about 6 months before I actually did it but never thought about it very seriously. I wanted to change my hair after it had been growing out during lockdown, so I decided I may as well go for it. I set up my Just Giving page with an original target of £100, but I’ve now raised over £1200 for the Little Princess Trust as well as donating about 14 inches of my hair! I’m really grateful to everyone who’s donated.”
