The French Department organised a “French Study Day” outing to the Ashmolean museum and the Alliance Française for their Year 12 and 13 French students. A visit was arranged at the Ashmolean Museum to study French artefacts of great significance. The girls also had a French literature workshop about ‘L`amour’ organised by the Alliance Française with plenty of opportunity for discussion in French. To maintain the French flavour of the day, tables were booked for lunch at the Pierre Victoire restaurant where the waiting staff were also French! It was a fun way of learning about French culture and practise the language in real life situations.
