Empathy Action experience for Y9 Kaleidoscope

16 March 2018

Empathy Action is a charity organisation which raises awareness of extreme poverty through interactive educational workshops and an incredible Poverty Trap simulation. They transform the main hall into a shanty town slum and run activities which plunge participants into life in a slum. Year 9 had the chance to participate in the Poverty Trap simulation as part of their Kaleidoscope afternoon this week. As you can hear in the clip below from our Head of Geography, Mrs Katie Yeo, the experience can have long-lasting impact .
