The weather didn’t stop the whole of the Junior School celebrating World Book Day on the 1st March. Girls dressed as a favourite character from a book and paraded in assembly … a time honoured tradition! This was followed by a KS2 story sack workshop where they had an opportunity to delve into some of the story sacks we use in school, assess what they might add and plan their own story sack idea. Both KS1 and KS2 took part in a class activity using Mr Men and Little Miss as a theme. They used their imagination to design their own Mr Men or Little Miss character and then created a miniature model of their design. Thank-you to everyone for making the day a huge success.
