Over the Christmas break, two of our Year 13s took on a challenge of extreme physical and mental endurance: to run three marathons over three consecutive days. Typical of Oxford High girls, Leni and Beth rose to the occasion with plenty of determination and a healthy dose of good humour, crossing the finish line on Sunday 3rd January and ticking one off the bucket list.
Through their incredible efforts, the girls succeeded in raising over £1000 for the charity Enrych, whose mission it is to increase wellbeing and independence in adults with disabilities.
From Leni and Beth:
Whilst arguably the most painful thing we’ve ever done, we are so happy to have completed 3 marathons in 3 days and raised over a thousand pounds for Enrych! There were definitely a few points along the way where we weren’t sure if we’d finish but it’s a wonderful feeling now to have completed a distance like that whilst supporting such an amazing charity.
We would like to offer our warmest congratulations to both girls; you are an inspiration to the whole OHS community and we are immensely proud of you!
