Once again, Oxford High’s success in the National Chinese Reading Competition continued in 2016 as four of our girls took part in the annual competition at University of Westminster in London. Clara (8O) and Prashanti (8G) won the 1st prize in the Non-Native speaker category. They recited “My Shadow” and their accurate pronunciation and precise intonation combined with an emotive delivery and use of dramatic gestures, won them the top honour of 1st prize. Syinat (9S) and Dominique (9O) also took part in the competition and performed superbly. All the adjudicators were very impressed with their performance. Pictured are Clara, Prashanti and Dr Yan Liu, Oxford High’s Head of Mandarin.
