We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to Tilly (Year 10) who, last weekend, took part in prose reading at the Cheltenham Festival of Performing Arts and was awarded a silver medal for her performance.
Open to students in Years 9-13, the prose reading challenged participants to deliver a prepared reading from their favourite book which, in Tilly’s case, is ‘Everything, everything‘. The adjudicator for this event was Eleanor McLeod – published author of two poetry books for children, teacher and member of the LAMDA examinations board.
From Tilly:
“I really enjoyed performing the prose reading, especially as it was from one of my favourite books, Everything, Everything. I was a bit nervous to begin with, but it soon went away when I walked on stage. I was super chuffed to be awarded the silver medal because there were lots of great prose readings by the other contestants. Overall, I found it a brilliant experience, and will definitely do it again next year!”
Well done on this excellent achievement Tilly – we are proud of you!
