This week, sixteen lucky students from Years 10, 11 and 12 have attended the Arvon creative writing course.
This is a truly special week filled with the experience of reading and writing poetry under the guidance of experienced tutors and fellow poets, Frances Leviston and Paul Batchelor.
The trip has taken place in the Shropshire countryside surrounding The Hurst, an Arvon foundation centre that once belonged to playwright John Osborne. The beautiful surroundings and change of scenery certainly provided plenty of inspiration and helped get the creative juices flowing.
Our very own Ms Gillham and Ms Girling have also been joining in the writing.
What a wonderful week it has been, providing so many opportunities for our students to learn, create and reflect alongside their peers and teachers. Thank you to everyone involved in the organisation of this trip, specifically Ms Gillham and Ms Girling.
