Year 5 recently paid a visit to the Leicester Space Museum which complements their topic and science studies this term. They followed a discovery walk, investigating specific things along the way in addition to the ‘hands-on’ activities which gave the girls an opportunity to experience many aspects of space travel.
‘I loved the machines where you had to practise to be an astronaut’
‘The reaction test was my favourite’
‘We saw a real life rocket and a piece of the moon’
‘The simulator was like a roller-coaster …but it stayed in one place’
‘The planetarium showed us what astronauts experience in space’
