On Friday 3rd November 2023, we celebrated Oxford High School’s 148th birthday and our rich legacy of providing quality education to generations of young women.
During our whole-school assembly, Mrs Gardiner Legge, dressed as our founding Head Ada Benson, talked about the history of women’s education alongside our own history. As per tradition, we marked the occasion with a birthday cake provided by our brilliant school catering team. The candles were snuffed out by our Head Girl (Serena) and the cake cut by our youngest Senior School pupil (Olga).
Throughout the years, Oxford High School has nurtured the spirit of curiosity, critical thinking and a passion for knowledge. Our 148th birthday celebration is also a moment to acknowledge our dedicated teachers and support staff, who have made a difference in the lives of countless students across 148 years.
