On Wellbeing Day (12th June), me and five other students went over to the OHS Prep School to teach a short German lesson to two different Year 3 classes. We had made presentations to teach the students basic conversation words, as well as animals, food and more.
The Year 3s were very enthusiastic and excited, and we had them play fun games such as slap the board. They had lots of fun with the competitions and learned some useful German words. It was a very rewarding experience for us, especially for the people in our group who went to the Prep School, because they got to see their old classrooms and teachers again.
Although I didn’t go to the Prep School, it was still fun to be shown around by the people who did. We taught for about two hours in total, and got to know the students a bit. We hope the Year 3 enjoyed learning German as much as we enjoyed teaching it!
