Year 7 enjoyed a wonderful History trip to Hampton Court Palace. The sun was shining and students were able to spend time outside in the Privy Gardens and the maze. Much learning took place too, with guided tours around Henry VIII’s Apartments and the Tudor kitchens. Students were amazed to learn that keeping the Royal Household fed and watered cost around £15,000! Costumed volunteers were on hand to answer questions and the girls were delighted to find out more about the Palace. The trip complimented their study on Henry VIII and will help to contextualise their learning of the religious rollercoaster of the Tudor period.
