Year 4 had a fabulous day at Holdenby House pretending to be Tudors. The trip was action packed and hands on, tying in with the girls’ studies of this important era of British History.
The day consisted of spending some time in the kitchen, learning about Tudor food and the differences in diet between the rich and poor. The girls also learnt and performed a Tudor pavane for Queen Elizabeth as well as spending time outside imagining the scope of the palace in the Tudor era.
‘I enjoyed the day because we got to imagine what it would have been like in Tudor times.’

‘I liked the trip because I really enjoyed the sugar work, making sugar plums.’
