Did you know that there is no word in Danish for please and that Hans Christian Andersen is called HC Andersen, and that a Danish flag can never fly on a flag pole with another flag?
Year 4 now know these facts and plenty more, as they have been treated to a vast array of information about the culture and life in Denmark in a workshop presented by Dr van der Blom and her daughters (both OHS students). Year 4 have also practiced the pronunciation of simple Danish phrases, ready for our global studies assembly.
