Over the weekend of 23-25 September, our Year 13 English students enjoyed their residential trip to the South Downs. Focusing on ‘Family & Identity’.
The trip links to both coursework and set texts, and is 3 days immersed in literature, writers and the places that shaped them. Whether looking at ‘Sense & Sensibility’ in Austen’s house, reading Eliot’s ‘Four Quartets’ in the garden at Charleston, or chanting ‘Antigone’ outside Brighton Pavilion, the trip helps English students develop a deeper understanding of literature in memorable contexts.
