As part of their studies, Year 11 Geographers took a field trip to Amersham, where they measured width, depth and velocity of the River Wye.
The trip helps expand and explore the subject by applying their knowledge to real world examples. Their fieldwork is a vital component of the course where they explore an actual geographical enquiry. Overall, the students had a fantastic day in the sunshine!
‘The trip was a really interesting way of getting hands on and seeing a real life example of the geography we’ve been studying. It was great to spend a whole day outdoors – we were lucky to have lovely sunny weather! ‘ Amrita S, Year 11
‘It was great fun and really helped us to learn in greater depth about the geography we have been studying. It was interesting, and we successfully gathered the data needed!’ Avvanii Y, Year 11
