On Tuesday 28th, there was a buzz of excitement among Year 12 and 13 as they took part in a Sixth Form Challenge Day!
With a myriad of exciting and interesting activities, most of which they had never done before, the students were really pushed to challenge themselves and to go beyond.
In the auditorium, the students were able to have a go at beatboxing. You can even listen to the cool tunes they made on the school’s Instagram! Others went off to try their hand at ceramics, circus skills, salsa dancing, and making yummy treats at a chocolate workshop.
On the school field, many students (and even staff!) challenged themselves on a climbing wall. We were also introduced to, and got to hold, some gentle crocodiles and reptiles. In other parts of the school, the Sixth Formers got to learn some fun magic tricks, had a go at stand-up comedy, and created some imaginative and superb graffiti artwork. In the sports hall, students learnt Muay Thai and were taught techniques on how to throw a variety of strikes.
It was fantastic to see all of our Sixth Formers so motivated and eager to learn new skills and try new activities! A huge thank you to Miss Pallas-Brown for organising a truly enjoyable and entertaining day. A big thank you, also, to the following for providing such delightful and engaging activities for our students: Mr Berrett, School of Beatbox, Simply Good Times, Circus Sensible, JM Entertainment, Crocodiles of the World, Salsa Oxford, Gasp Arts London, Colin Dymond, Oxford Martial Arts, and Nick Hall from Hoopla Improv.
