Although Oxford High no longer offers the Combined Cadet Force (CCF), we have had many girls benefit from the opportunities it gave them for developing leadership and the qualities of responsibility, self-reliance, resourcefulness, endurance and perseverance. CCF was led by a former member of staff, Flt Lt R P Hypher (aka Mr Hypher, Head of Physics!) and OHS girls typically were renowned for their leadership skills, such as alumna, Lauren, who won the coveted Cubby Sword for being the leading Cadet in the UK for leadership potential.
