Reception visit Science Oxford

25 November 2019

Reception had a fantastic day at Science Oxford. They took part in a ‘free flow’ workshop allowing them to explore a range of activities at their own pace including, developing early computing skills with ‘BeeBots’, building bridges for the Billy Goats Gruff, and playing with some sensory bottles.  Each activity supported the development of specific scientific skills such as sorting, testing, grouping and observing.  Girls also had the opportunity to create their own experiments, test designs and make other scientific discoveries in the ‘Exploration Zone’. They particularly enjoyed the ‘Scarf Shooter’ where they investigated how to make balls fly through a giant tube and the ‘Air Table’ – testing their own creation to hover!
