For a recent Perspectives session, we were joined by alumna and food writer Sophie Grigson, who delivered a fascinating talk about the importance of food in society and gave an insight into her own experience of working in food writing.
It was inspiring to hear about the opportunities available to help tackle food insecurity, including volunteer work at Oxford Food Hub and various charities providing cooked meals for refugees in Calais.
In response to questions from Year 13s, she also talked about her unusual career path (which included a Maths degree) and gave tips on nutrition and quick meals for university.
Overall, it was a really interesting talk and we also enjoyed snapshots of her time at OHS and the occasional appearance of her beautiful cat, Juno.
