The Oxford German Olympiad is back and OHS, once again, is enjoying excellent successes and commendations in this popular and well-regarded national competition, hosted by the Oxford German Network.
Eleanor in Year 12 has won joint first prize with her impressive article on the Roaring Twenties. She is also a runner-up in the White Rose Project category for her letter about Sophie Scholl’s life/legacy.
Bella in Year 11 was highly commended for her White Rose Project entry, this time for creating a fantastic comic or short graphic novel telling the story of Sophie Scholl.
And if that wasn’t incredible enough, last year we had more outstanding achievements! Hanna and Maya in Year 9 were runners-up in their joint project for creating a striking poster explaining Klimawandel, Siobhan in Year 13 was a runner-up in her category for her superb essay about Beethoven, and Eleanor in Year 12 was highly commended for her essay ‘Machen wir unsere Erde unbewohnbar?’, translated as ‘Are we making our world uninhabitable?’
Congratulations to all of our winners!
