OHS students and staff have been collecting items to donate to the Oxford Food Hub over the last few weeks. These items will be redistributed by the Food Hub to a number of local charities for people in need.
Due to Covid-19, we were not able to do our usual Christmas collection so we are delighted that this could happen now. For the past few weeks, every year group has been bringing non-perishable items to a box in their ‘zone’ and we want to especially congratulate Year 10 and Year 11 for their generosity (very full boxes!).
We were also able to sort out items by type thanks to our wonderful Sixth Formers Georgia, Alice, Claudia (Y12) and Amy and Leila (Y13), as well as Dr Karapanagioti, Mr South and Mrs Townend. The Oxford Food Hub volunteer, Emma Tinker, was very grateful for our donation and she hopes it encourages students, staff and their families to support the Oxford Food Hub in the future.
