We’re very excited to launch Oxford High School’s Sixth Form Peer Mentoring Programme.
This programme has been devised by Mark Huggins (Head of Learning Support), Claire Chipchase (Deputy Director of Sixth Form), and Rachael Pallas-Brown (Director of Sixth Form) to enhance the support already provided to students in Years 7-10 while Guided Home Learning continues, and to make use of the expertise and community spirit of our Sixth Form students.
In their role as Peer Mentors, Sixth Formers will share their experience of school life and help support students with their academic studies. They will also help to answer questions about efficient study, time management, and the experience of different subjects at GCSE and A Level. All mentors have received the appropriate training in safeguarding and listening skills to support them in this role.
We’re delighted that so many Year 12 students have come forward to volunteer for this programme.
