This year Puffin Books will be celebrating the ten year anniversary of Robin Steven’s award-winning and bestselling debut, Murder Most Unladylike – starring the iconic school girl detective duo Daisy Wells and Hazel Wong. Combining Golden Age Crime with boarding school nostalgia, this became the first book in a trailblazing series that would go on to define the children’s murder mystery genre, selling over three million copies world-wide and translated into twenty languages.
Join Robin here at Oxford High School on June 11th, for a very special event to celebrate a decade of Murder Most Unladylike, as she looks back to where it all began – as well as what’s next! The event will start at 6pm, and there will be a book signing afterwards, so you can bring your favourites in the series to be signed by Robin.
We are working with Waterstones Oxford to host this hugely exciting event, which will be open to the public. We have a limited number of free spaces reserved for OHS pupils, on a first-come-first-served basis. To reserve one, you can get in touch with our Box Office at boxoffice@oxf.gdst.net.
For those not able to reserve a free space, or those who are not OHS pupils, tickets are £5 for general admission (or £12 for entry plus a copy of the 10th anniversary edition of Murder Most Unladylike). Tickets are available for purchase in store at Waterstones Oxford. There is more information on their website, where online purchasing will also be available shortly: https://www.waterstones.com/events/meet-robin-stevens/oxford-122878. Ticket holders 16 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult (who must also purchase a ticket) in order to gain entry to the venue, and to remain in the venue for the duration of the event.
We are SO thrilled to be welcoming Robin to OHS, home of its own Detective Club, and to have mystery fans from across Oxfordshire join us. We hope you can come and join in the fun! Magnifying glasses optional…
