Last week, we had the privilege of hosting LSE Generate, run by the London School of Economics and Political Science. The event enabled our students to gain a sneak peek into the dynamic world of entrepreneurship. This unique experience allowed our students to delve into the intricacies of pitching ideas to investors and gain valuable insights on the steps to owning a business.
LSE graduates came into school to present their new, cutting-edge businesses as they pitched to a team of investors as part of the LSE Generate scheme. LSE Generate supports its alumni in building their businesses, offering a year-round programme to help at every stage of the entrepreneurial journey. Their start-up businesses ranged from a new brand of sugar-free cake to an innovative clay refrigerator designed to keep food fresh for longer in hot climates.
We are committed to preparing our students for the future by equipping them with the practical skills, insights and connections to thrive. LSE Generate offered our students a platform to network and connect with young entrepreneurs from across the world. Our students saw first-hand how to pitch a business and articulate their ideas. Two of our students were awarded work experience with LSE Generate for their engagement in the sessions.
