Introducing RadiOHS

20 October 2020

Ella, Year 13, is making school history with the establishment of OHS’s first ever radio station. Created as an outlet for news, stories and creativity from around the school, RadiOHS will undoubtedly further the spirit of community and connectivity that is central to OHS’s culture.

Speaking of her decision to set up RadiOHS, Ella says:

I thought a school radio would be an interesting new way for the students of Oxford High to express themselves. Throughout the school there are so many talented students with a variety of interests, passions and skills, and this is another way in which these skills can be displayed. Along with this, I think there are many benefits to having a school radio show. It gives students the opportunity to try something different and discover whether presenting is something they are interested in, and it can boost confidence, both in themselves as individuals, and in the work that they are producing and sharing. Furthermore I hope it will be a chance to bring the school together, especially now, and help people connect under common interests, and fun!

RadiOHS’s very first broadcast is scheduled for after half term, and we can’t wait to tune in!
